Movies and gaming at Devi Multiplex | Ahmedabad

What you see - Devi Multiplex is a multi utility entertainment zone in the Naroda area of Ahmedabad city. Besides three movie screens, there is also a gaming zone, a food court and a banquet hall. The multiplex offers a good movie experience at reasonable prices. The yellow and blue color interiors give it a bright look. The ticket counter is situated on the front side of the multiplex.

What you get – The air-conditioned theatre has three sections, namely silver, gold and platinum and it plays Hindi and English films. Occasionally, they also screen Tamil and Gujarati movies. The ticket prices are comparatively less (Rs. 50-70 on weekdays; Rs. 80-100 on weekends) as compared to other multiplexes in the city. The recliner seats are quite comfortable with enough leg space. The big screen gives the feel of multiplex viewing. Equipped with surround sound, the audio quality is satisfactory. Attendants promptly guide you to your seat and ensure that you occupy the correct ones. Reasonably priced snacks such as sandwiches, samosas, burgers, popcorn, cold drinks etc are available. They also have combos, which work out quite economical. The quality of food is decent and hygiene is specifically taken care of.

Apart from movie screens, the gaming zone too adds up to the overall entertainment factor. There are all kinds of games available such as virtual bike driving, virtual car driving, air hockey, shooting games etc. Not only kids but even youngsters can indulge in these games while waiting for their show to start. A round of game costs Rs. 20 per round.

Within the premises, there is a huge banquet hall that can be rented for marriage functions, business meets or regular parties. Dance parties are organized here on special occasions such as New Year eve, Valentine’s Day, Friendship Day etc.

Last but not the least, there is also a food court in the multiplex. Open all day, it mostly serves Punjabi food and other light snacks such as sandwiches, South Indian dishes, chole bature, pizzas etc. If not for a movie, you can visit the place for food.

Tickets can be booked on Buyonlineticket.

Our verdict – Devi Multiplex offers a decent (not so posh) movie viewing experience in this area. The movie tickets are reasonably priced, which makes it a good choice. The crowd is decent too. The multiplex conducts stringent security checks. Parking is available.
